There gold ashes were rubbed on his body after taking off his clothes. A lot of gold was also loaded with it. When that person used to bath in the middle of the river, people used to throw gold in the river. Due to this, many tons of gold are buried in this lake.


The property here has now taken the form of a treasury. Many people have sacrificed their lives in search of him. But greed is such a force that people are still trying to find this treasure. Many expeditions are still going on to find this treasure of El Dorado. Many people have reached Guatavita Lake making this discovery.


Many people also got success in extracting gold from the lake. This success only added to the madness of the people for the treasure of El Dorado.Spanish robbers Francisco Pizarro also tried a lot but failed, and during the First World War, almost the whole of Colombia was looking for this treasure, but even after losing hundreds of lives till date, the treasure could not be found only, Guatavita Lake was not found, but from time to time it was like this. Evidence has been found, due to which this treasure gets attention again and again.
