THE COLUCHE
One of the most famous legends, according to the Calota legend of southern Chile, describes a ghost ship called the Coluche (Ghost Ship), which according to local legend appears every night near the island of Chiloé.
The ship is in a way conscious, it is the souls of all those who were drowned in the sea, when the coluche is seen it becomes beautiful and bright, and is always accompanied by the sounds of party music, and for a few moments After seeing it, people laugh and disappear.

THE SS BAYCHIMO
One of the most surprising cases of a real-life ghost ship concerns Baychimo about a cargo steamer that was abandoned in the seafloor near Alaska for nearly 40 years. The ship was owned by the Hudson Bay Company and was launched in the early 1920s and used to trade pelts and farts with the Eskimos in northern Canada.
But in 1931 Baychimo got stuck in pack ice near Alaska and several attempts were made to break it. Its crew was sent to safety from the area. The ship managed to free itself from the ice after a heavy blizzard, but it was badly damaged and abandoned by the Hudson Bay Company. It became a local legend as it remained in Alaskan waters for the next 38 years and was often seen by Eskimos and others swimming near frozen ice packs.
The ships were boarded several times but the weather conditions made this nearly impossible. Baychimo was last seen in 1969, again frozen in Alaskan ice, but has since disappeared.

THE OCTAVIUS
The story of Octavius(Ghost Ship) is the most famous of all the ghost ship stories. The story dates back to 1775, when it is said that a whaling ship called the Herald stumbled across the shores of Greenland while aimlessly carrying Octavius. The crew members boarded Octavius, where they discovered the bodies of the crew and passengers.
The Arctic was all frozen by the cult, especially as the crew found the ship's captain sitting in the middle of his desk through completing a log book entry from 1762, which meant that Octavius was deprived of thirteen years. According to legend, it was revealed that the captain had gambled on his early return to England from the Orient via the Northwest Passage, but the ship was stuck in ice. Its crew and captain were long dead.

The Lady Lovibonf
There is a legendary story of a ghost ship called the Lady Lovibond that appears every 50 years near Kent, England which was one of the marine tragedies associated with the dreaded Goodwin Sands. The legend of Lady Lovibond is one of the most ghost ships that was filled with romance, jealousy and vengeance. Also included is an old sailor's superstition that it was bad luck to bring a woman during a cruise.
Ghost Ship Lady Lovibond was first seen in 1798. On 13 February 1798 Edenbridge's captain made a log entry in effect, sailing directly to Goodwin Sands.
Fifty years later, 1848 was next seen when the crew of the Deal lifeboat went to the rescue of a ship that seemed to be in distress on the infamous sands. When they reached the place where they had last seen it, there were no ships there.

The Flying Dutchman
In maritime folklore, no ghost ship is more famous than the Flying Dutchman, which has inspired many paintings, horror stories, movies and even an opera.
The first mention of the ship comes in the late 1700s in George Barrington's book A voyage to botany bay, and since then the legend has grown and the story becomes the flying dutchman. There was a ship out of Amsterdam which was captained by a man named van der Decken.The ship was making its way towards the East Indies when it encountered dangerous weather to make a crossing near the Cape of Good. van der Decken murdered his first mate and swore he would cross the Cape. The ship sank in a storm.
To this day, the Flying Dutchman is one of the ghost ships and remains visible to people of deep sea fishermen. Everyone has claimed that it is making its never ending journey across the oceans.
